It always feels a little daunting when we embark on a quest to review any Yeti products, Yeti drinkware notwithstanding. Think about it; when you have something that is practically a benchmark against which you compare everything else, it seems that it can do no wrong and it can be a bit intimidating to judge it.

It’s a little like how I expect it would feel if a judge suddenly found themselves in the docket, being judged. It would be poetic and at the same time ironic. And yet here we are; we have to judge the judge at the end of the day.

Yeti is a premium brand that has carved out a name and a niche for itself in a market that is fiercely competitive. Many other cooler brands seek to copy it in a bid to become at least half as successful as it.

Others pride themselves on differentiating themselves from it in a bid to be different and have a unique offering for sections of the market that they feel Yeti has left out. Ultimately, however, Yeti is a talking point no matter what kind of approach you give it.

As it so happens, it’s not just in the coolers niche that Yeti is famous. It’s also quite famous when it comes to drinkware; even popular. With some of the strongest drinkware out there, Yeti maintains its reputation as a premium brand, even in this field.

The Yeti line of drinkware is known as the Rambler Series and has some of the toughest drinkware. The construction is 18/8 stainless steel, the vacuum insulation is double-walled, and these Ramblers don’t sweat.

Whether you’re carrying them out to the office or to your next great adventure, they’ll do just fine. That said, let’s dive in and get to know a little more about each of them.

Yeti Rambler Tumbler

The Yeti Rambler Tumbler rambles its way to the beginning of this review with quite some pomp. This great tumbler is as tough as they come with 18/8 stainless steel. It’s kitchen grade, of course, which means it’s safe for the dishwasher. The good people at Yeti say no one needs to do more work and they demonstrate by making this tumbler super easy to handle.

It also comes with the MagSlider lid, which has a magnet to make for easy opening and closing and also to protect the drinks further from losing taste or getting hot when they’re meant to stay cold. This tumbler comes in a range of colors, including stainless steel and some pretty vibrant DuraCoat colors as well.

Yeti Rambler Colster

The Yeti Rambler Colster was designed for the purpose of holding your cans in place and keeping as cold as you want for as long as you want. The Colster is so good at this job that it has you questioning some of the laws of physics.

The Colster will fit standard bottles and cans of 12 ounces capacity and will fit them perfectly. It has 18/8 kitchen grade stainless steel, double-walled vacuum insulation, and a great gasket that keeps everything well secured. It’s easy to screw on and quite capable. The trademarked Yeti name for it is the Load-and-Lock Gasket and it fits, just like the gasket itself.

Yeti Rambler LowBall

The Yeti LowBall is pretty much a low profile tumbler with a lot more versatility. You will love the design if you’re the kind of person that likes to have one kind of container where you put all the different drinks you consume.

The insulation is a double-walled vacuum, as is expected of a Yeti drinkware; the construction is stainless steel, the lid is standard, but the LowBall will easily take the MagSlider as well if you want that one.

It’s also dishwasher safe so you can drink coffee in the evening, whiskey in the morning (or should it be the other way round?) and then throw everything in the dishwasher when you’re done.

Yeti Rambler Wine Tumbler

This is one of those areas where Yeti really innovated and outdid themselves. Think about it; wine is pretty laid back and a great drink to have indoors, but it’s also a great drink to have outdoors. The wine glass was designed for indoor drinking and fast drinking at that.

When you’re drinking your wine, especially outside, you want to take your time. You don’t want to have to worry about it getting cold. You also don’t want to have to deal with the danger of dropping and breaking wine glasses next to the pool.

So Yeti gave an answer in the form of the stainless steel wine tumbler. It won’t shatter, it will keep your wine cold, and it has the beautiful shape of a wine glass so you don’t feel the difference. It also comes in DuraCoat colors so you get to choose the color of your wine glass! Who said drinking wine wasn’t hardcore?

Yeti Rambler Mug

What’s better than a conventional mug? Why, a camp mug, of course! And what’s better than a camp mug? Why, the Yeti Rambler Mug, of course! This mug can be described best as over-engineered, and that is in a good way.

We love the double-walled vacuum insulation, which means we can put the hottest oatmeal inside and we won’t feel a bit of the heat. The opening is wide enough that you can access the contents of the mug and the standard lid ensures that the contents don’t cool too quickly. You can even buy the MagSlider for it if you want.

Yeti Rambler Stackable Pint

So you have decided that you want to take your happy hour adventures to the next level. Well, Yeti is right behind you on that. In fact, the people at Yeti feel that one pint is never enough. That is why they came up with the stackable pint.

Basically, you get two 16 ounce stackable pints in a variety of colors including seafoam and navy, which ensure you stay on during happy hour right till the last drop of beer is served.

These are some pretty durable pints and the colors won’t crack, fade, or peel off. Of course, you get everything else that you would expect from Yeti drinkware, including the stainless steel construction and the double-walled vacuum insulation. Happy hour is just about to get much happier!

Yeti Rambler Bottle

Yeti wasn’t going to leave any bases exposed when they produced their line of drinkware; they went all out and made every kind of drinkware they could. The bottle is one of those staples that any serious brand needs to consider when it prepares its line of drinkware. The Yeti bottle does not disappoint.

The build is the same old 18/8 kitchen grade stainless steel, the colors include DuraCoat colors, the vacuum insulation is double-walled, and the cap is the TripleHaul, which is pretty strong and secure. This is the kind of bottle you would be proud to take with you wherever you went.

Yeti Rambler Jug

To cap everything off, we need a jug. Yes, the ‘cap everything off part’ was a pun, since we’re dealing with drinkware. The Yeti jug is actually every bit as robust and well-designed as you would expect. The handle is stainless steel, meaning it’s strong enough to handle the weight. The jug itself is built with 18/8 stainless steel.

The insulation is the trademarked FatLid, which ensures your drinks stay as hot or cold as when you put them in the jug. It also comes in stainless steel and 2 DuraCoat color options.

Yeti Tumbler Competitors

Yeti Tumbler vs RTIC Tumbler

Well, the RTIC tumbler seeks to reproduce everything you get in the Yeti tumbler. You get the 18/8 stainless steel construction, you get the sweat-proof technology, and you get the double-walled vacuum insulation. The only thing you don’t get is the hefty price.

What we would say is that, if you’re not big on brands, then you should probably get the RTIC tumbler. It’s way cheaper. However, if you’re a die-hard fan of Yeti, then get yourself a Yeti tumbler.

Yeti Tumbler vs Orca Chaser

In this case, Orca is the underdog. The Yeti tumbler is the industry leader with all the bells and whistles you would expect from a premium tumbler. As for the Orca Chaser, it comes in with some pretty good features for a lower price.

However, Orca, while still a strong brand, isn’t as strong as Yeti. Again, here we will ask you to decide whether you’re looking for savings on price or the right brand. If you don’t care about the brand, then get yourself an Orca Chaser. Otherwise, you can never go wrong with Yeti.

Where to Buy Yeti Drinkware Coolers

You can buy Yeti coolers in sporting goods shops offline and also on a bunch of sites online, including Yeti’s own site. However, we would recommend you make your purchase at Amazon. In fact, YETI has its own store there as well.

Amazon is the best place to buy your coolers and other products for a bunch of reasons: first, it’s a trusted market; second, you get easy returns if you don’t like the products; third, you get to see real reviews by other customers who have tried out the products before you; fourth, you can get some pretty cool benefits, such as discounts and free shipping, especially if you’re an Amazon Prime member.

The premium you pay is worth it when you consider the fact that you will be using a high-quality product that will serve you faithfully for a long time to come. That’s what defines Yeti and that’s why we measure every other brand by their standard.
